“Dexta Malawi Hosts EP Listening Session at Rasta Party Part 3”

Kingston, Jamaica. December 1, 2014–With an eye on a royal Rastafari Style celebration of Dexta Malawi’s Earth Strong, promoting Dexta Malawi’s newly released EP entitled “The Malawian Journeys 1.0” and also contributing to the Rastafari community, Reach di People Edutainment (RDPE) and EDB Entertainment presents an event entitled “Rasta Party Part 3” on 26 December 2014. The Event is to be held at Veggie Meals on Wheels, Shop #30 Regal Plaza, 4-6 Eureka Road, Kingston 5, St. Andrew, Jamaica at 7:00pm.  

The name and style of the event was inspired by the song “Rasta Party” done by Clayton “Exile Di Brave” Johnson and is an annual event held on Dexta Malawi’s Earth Strong, 26 December. The first staging of Rasta party was in December 2012. In the first staging of the event Exile Di Brave completed the shoot for a part of the video for his said single entitled “Rasta Party”. In December 2013, at the second staging of Rasta Party, Dexta Malawi launched the video for his single entitled “Woke up this morning”.

This year’s third staging entitled “Rasta Party Part III”, is Dexta Malawi’s 27th Earth Strong celebration and will feature a listening session for Dexta Malawi’s recently released EP entitled “The Malawian Journeys 1.0”. The evening will be topped off with musical selections by King Harar sound, Supa Nova (Dub School), Marsh Mello and other guest selectors. The Event will also feature performances by a host of conscious artistes and a special presentation by Ras Imo of the Rastafari Business & Professional Association. We also intend to incorporate Kwanzaa in this year’s Rasta party.

This year the event is sponsored by Reach Di People Edutainment, Bebble Rock Studio, Yaad a Music, Dub School, EDB entertainment, Veggie Meals On wheels, Country Farm House, Café Africa, The Charismatic Nation, Ination Books,  The Rastafari Youth Initiative Council, the Rastafari Business & Professional Association, Black Iwa TV and Rastafari-TV. This year’s event aims to further demonstrate the potential of the EP, “The Malawian Journeys 1.0” and also Dexta Malawi in his commitment to create great music that will touch with the soul of the population.   The stage show will feature Guest Performances by: KORO FYAH, EXILE DI BRAVE, DEXTA MALAWI, KAZAM DAVIS, GIDDIAN TARR, MAMA KOFEE, SIMIJI, IYUNDA, INFINITE,
N.R.G.,  INOINTED AND MORE.

Admission to the event is FREE. However we are accepting contributions at the gate and all are invited. Part proceeds from the event will go to the Rastafari Creed Fund based at Rastafari Business & Professional Association (RBPA), 3 Deanery Road, Kingston, Jamaica. We are also accepting donations of food, clothing and other essential items in the RBPA Rastafari creed’s donation drum.

Live stream by Black Iwa TV. Refreshments by Veggie Meals on Wheels, Bengeez Yatties, Café Africa and Country Farm House. Also a short speech by Mr. Paul Campbell on copyright laws.
